Some Things New and Wonderful for the Holidays Ahead
by Fran Sikorski
Customers have repeatedly asked owner Robert Meyzen if and when he planned to market the restaurant's frozen delights, and the time has come.
Once we get in step with the fall season, ther's a lot on the road ahead with Thanksgiving and Christmas preparations, especially organizing menus, home decorations, and unusual and much appreciated hostess gifts.

Im my travels this month, I found plenty of lifestyle-oriented news for easy planning, and all within easy distance.

Born From Tradition
At La Crémaillére, 46 Bedford-Banksville Road, Banksville, N.Y. (914) 234-9647, one of my favorite restaurants located in the historic 1750 Widow Brush House, a family recipe for fine French custard ice cream and sorbets called Créme Crémaillére has been served for more than 20 years.

Customers have repeatedly asked owner Robert Meyzen if and when he planned to market the restaurant's frozen delights, and the time has come.

Under the direction of La Crémaillére owners, Robert and Bobbie Meyzen, the entire line of ice creams, including Vanille Maison, Choco Chocolat, Café au Lait, Creme Brûlée and Cherry Clafouti, is prepared in five-quart containers for other restaurants, country clubs, hotels, and at select markets in pint containers for individual use.

The ice creams, smooth in texture and unequaled in their unforgettable taste, are incredible with flavors that just say - Voila! I know, because I've tasted all of them, and Créme Brûlée is my favorite, but all the other flavors stand right next to it. Créme Crémaillére is available at Aux Delices, 1075 East Putnam Avenue in Riverside, (203) 698-1066, and Mrs. Green's stores. Call (914) 472-7900 for Connecticut and Westchester locations.

It is now being served at White Oak Bistro in New Canaan and at the Elms in Ridgefield. For more information about Créme Crémaillére, call (914) 934-1641 or visit the web site at www.cremecremaillere.com.
